Francis Hawie

My work is inspired by the beauty of nature as God's creation. Through a contemporary artistic vision, I seek to invite the viewer into its contemplation.

I work primarily in oil and acrylic using the wet-on-wet (alla prima) technique, allowing the strength of color, light, and the spontaneous gesture of the brush to guide a creative process that unfolds without preliminary sketches. Each painting emerges from a disposition of the heart toward the spiritual life and an openness to the creative act.

I understand artistic creation as a gift to be share, an experience of gratitude, faith, and hope.
